On the Tahoe field trip I learned about all the native fish in Tahoe and all the non-native fish in Tahoe. I learned about the Asian Clams and they said that the clams are growing rapidly in Tahoe. They said that if you wanna try and take the clams out they just lay eggs and get scared because the clams know that theres something happening and thats why there growing rapidly. My favorite part was the 3D movie. One station that i learned about was the one where we learned about the native fish and the non native fish. I learned the Lake Tahoe created a sunami from a earthquake and it said we could possibly have a really big earthquake where Tahoe could possibly have another Sunami. The wood that they used to build the place they used from the trees they cut down, the ceiling was made out of recycled newspaper.

On the Galena Creek field trip we learned about observations of the enviroment. We learned how to make observations from a short distance and from a long distance. Then we just took a hike up to this river. I liked how we took a hike after and I thought it was cool that we just got to be out in the wilderness. I didnt really like the whole observation thing instead i would have rather been hiking or something. On the Urban Roots thing that we go to alot i learned what sheet mulching was its wear you put like cardboard on some soil then you put like woodchips on the cardboard. But you cant have any tape or anything on the card board because it could mess with the soil or the growing of a plant.
On the water monitoring field trip we went to Oxbox, Virginia Lake, and Galena creek. We studied all the water and tested it to see if it was clean. I remember we tested the Truckee River and Virgina Lake and they were pretty much the same I was suprised that Virgina Lake was pretty clean.

In ID my strengths were really nothing my weakness were alot I didn't know anything about this class at all except we get to learn about the enviroment and animals which I like learning about. This class was about studying nature and animals, Joe was my teacher. The class was really about many different things like we did stuff about water. When we went to like 3 rivers and lakes we tested how good the water was and to see if fish or any other animal can live in the water.
My favorite part of the class was going on the field trips well at least some of them because some were really fun and some were really long and boring like when we went to this one college I didn't really like that one because it didn't intrest me at all except when we learned about the animals that Live in Tahoe. My least favorite part of the class is when we got out at 3:30 and had to stay in the class because it was boring and long except for when we got to watch some planet Earth stuff. My other least favorite part was going on boring field trips like I said some were fun but some were really boring.
What I learned are a number of things like how to test water how to identify certain plants and animlas I didn't know how to do any of that before but it was really cool to get out in nature and learn a number of things that I didn't know before. I would've liked to learn more about the animals of Nevada just not in the Galena creek area but other than that I think everything that I would've liked to learn was taught in there. If I took this class next semster I would like to see us learn more about the animals that live in Nevada in general because I like to learn about animals alot espically reptiles I know some things because I've studied reptiles alot but it's cool to learn more about what im intrested in.
